I will be in the Vancouver area from Oct 31st till Nov 4th. I still have spots available for initial consultations or revisits.
I do in-home consultations that normally last up to 2 hours where I teach you how to properly communicate with your dog using its language. I also teach you how to properly teach and correct your dog the way its Mother did, the way it instinctively understands. We will work with your dog both inside and outside of your home to ensure you can have your dog calm and relaxed in any situation, including on leash. I also bring members of my pack so we have other dogs to work with and can bring specific dogs for your situation.
Please send me a message to book a consultation. If you own a reactive, aggressive or fearful dog and you have not been able to find help dealing with its behaviours, give me a call so I can help you understand why your dog acts the way it does and how you can help them find balance.
It was believed Sam was ‘dog aggressive’ because he was reactive towards dogs on leash and had acted ‘aggressively’ towards people. Sam loves dogs and never showed any aggression towards dogs while he was with me. Due to his lack of socialization it was 4 days before he started playing with dogs and he had a few BFF’s before he went home after a week living with my pack and I.
Just because your dog is reactive towards other dogs on leash does not mean it will be aggressive towards dogs off leash. The tension you put into the leash creates and intensifies the reactivity you see in your dog. Remove the leash and there is usually no reactivity, but only when your dog knows it is safe and the dogs it is being introduced to are happy, friendly and balanced dogs.
Cheers
